My Neighbour Totoro in London has been a fan favourite since its premiere in 2022. In fact, the show broke the Barbican Centre box-office record for ticket sales in a single day. In 2023, the show also earned an impressive six Olivier awards, including for costume design, direction, and set design. The imaginative production tells the story of young girls, Satsuki and Mei, who relocate to the countryside with their father following their mother’s hospitalization. During their summer adventures, they encounter numerous woodland spirits, including the furry giant Totoro.
